Thomas C. Melzer, D.V.M.

Meet Dr. Melzer

Dr. Tom was the founder of Orchard Mesa Veterinary Hospital. He graduated from Colorado State University with his doctorate in veterinary medicine in 1978. Before moving to Grand Junction, Dr. Melzer practiced large and small animal veterinary medicine in Cottage Grove, OR and Franktown, CO. In 1982, Dr. Melzer and his family moved to the Grand Valley and opened the Orchard Mesa Veterinary Clinic. During his life, he and his wife Judy, and sons Doug and Tyler, enjoyed being involved with the Grand Valley community and participated in many outdoor activities. With his death, our hospital lost a great doctor, a mentor, friend and colleague. To honor his legacy, we will continue to practice the highest quality of medicine and care for animals.
