COVID-19 Update as of 3/21/20
An Open Letter Update as of March 21, 2020, from Orchard Mesa Veterinary Hospital to all of our friends:
Orchard Mesa Veterinary Hospital, in our goal to keep our essential services available to the communities we serve and to be there for you and your pets, is updating our current protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Governor Polis signed an executive order on March 19th temporarily suspending all veterinary elective and non-essential surgeries and procedures in order to preserve medical equipment, like gloves, masks and ventilators, needed to combat COVID-19. This order goes into effect on Monday, March 23rd, through April 14th. We regretfully have to cancel all previously scheduled routine services and procedures through April 14th. These services include, but are not limited to: spays, neuters, some vaccinations, toe nail trims, etc. At this time, we are developing a wait list for future re-scheduling.
Please be assured that we are still seeing appointments if your pet is sick, injured, has an emergency, or needs essential vaccinations, such as rabies, which is required by law, or puppy and kitten vaccinations. The wait time before we can schedule the appointment may be a bit longer, but we will do our best to accommodate you. We are also still filling prescriptions for medications and diets. Should your pet need something, please call us.
Thank you for your understanding and for doing your part in helping us do ours to keep pets and our community safe, and please don’t hesitate to call us at 970-241-9866 with any questions.
We anticipate our phone lines will be busier than usual, and that appointments will take a little longer than usual, therefore, we appreciate your patience!
