Pet Boarding
Our goal here at Orchard Mesa Veterinary Hospital is to make your dog’s boarding experience pleasant and safe. We want you to be confident while you are away, knowing your pet is secure, comfortable, and receiving the best possible care.
Dog Boarding Requirements
For the protection of your pet, we require that your pet to be current on the following vaccines:
- Rabies
- Distemper/Parvo Combo
- Bordetella
Vaccinations must be up to date prior to boarding. Proof of vaccinations outside of Orchard Mesa Veterinary Hospital will be required prior to drop off.
Vaccinations not performed by a licensed veterinarian will not be accepted.

Veterinarians are on site during business hours and on call every weekend and holiday.
Boarding Packages
Dog Boarding
$37 per night
- 4 routine potty breaks
- 15 minute 1 on 1 with staff
Additional Dog Same Kennel
$27 per night
- Only upon approval
Add Ons:
- Peanut Butter Kong at lunchtime – $3.00 per day
- Toe Nail Trim $25
- Bath and Brush ranges by coat length and ease of bathing $30-$50
Pet Boarding Reservations in Grand Junction, CO
We suggest that you make reservations for boarding in advance as much as possible, particularly over holidays. We make and confirm all reservations via the phone.
If you’re boarding for the first time, or boarding for the first time or boarding your pet for an extended period of time, you may be asked to provide a deposit.
If you need to extend your pet’s boarding stay, please let us know as soon as possible to ensure availability.

Hours
Monday – Sunday
9:00 am – 11:00 am and 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm
Cancellations
We require that you provide a 24-hour notice of cancellation on non-holiday reservations.
For holiday boarding, please let us know at least 4 days in advance of your reservation if you need to cancel. This allows us to schedule other clients who may be on our waiting list.
There will be a fee equal to two nights’ boarding for reservations that are not canceled within these time frames.

What To Bring
- We recommend bringing food from home in order to reduce stomach upsets for your pets. Orchard Mesa Veterinary Hospital will provide Science Diet Adult dry kibble for all guests that do not bring food from home.
- Treats and/or 1 toy
- We require that any prescription medication your pet needs while staying at our facility be in its original container with dosing instructions.
Board Baths
We provide board baths for dogs staying over a period of time. Prices range between $30-$50 based on hair length and coat type.
